Tuesday September 2nd - Another bus ride! From Füssen, Germany to Lauterbrunnen, Swizerland. From there we took a train to Wengen where we spent three nights. A picturesque scene greeted us with the moon coming out from behind a mountain on the way back to our hotel after dinner at Goldilocks.

Wednesday September 3rd - We started the day with a gondola ride up to Mannlichen to then hike down trail 33, the Panoramic trail. And panoramic it is!

 

In Mürren we walked past the hotel where we stayed in 2022. There is a fancy new cable car there now, and  some of us rode it to Stechelberg and then went back to Wengen. Others headed off to find the path to Gimmelwald. Before starting down that path we met a 92-year old woman walking up the steep hill to go paragliding with a guide! Impressive! Then we hiked down the very steep hill to just in time catch the cable car in Gimmelwald down to Lautterbrunnen Valley. 

Eventually we all met up in Klein Scheidegg and took a beautiful train ride back to Wengen where we bought lunch at the Coop and ate in the park. Afterwards we took the rain to Lauterbrunnen again, then a cable car ride to Grutschalp and a train to Murren.

We had a nice scenic stroll along the floor of Lauterbrunnen Valley followed by a bus ride to Lauterbrunnen and then a train ride up to Wengen. We rewarded ourselves after a very full day with some pizza and ice cream.

Thursday September 4th - We decided on a 'work day' since there was a very nice hotel lobby to spend time in and the weather wasn't too exciting. One of our tour mates stopped by and mentioned some purchases he made in Lauterbrunnen so we decided we needed to check that out, and take a few more photos there. Later the five of us wandered around Wengen and ended up at Dasina for dinner and dessert.
