Friday August 29th - Leaving Salzburg, we rode the bus to Castelrotto, Italy. After getting settled in we took a bus to the tram station, then rode twp gondolas to catch a view of the Dolomites, but clouds covered them before we got there. So we headed back down and stopped after one gondola ride to enjoy the views and some beverages at a cute  cafe. Shortly after boarding the second gondola a storm with lightning caused all the gondolas to stop for a few minutes. Back on track we stopped for dinner at Pizzarea  Zur Alten Schmiede before heading back to the hotel.

Saturday August 30th - As we were heading out of our hotel in Castlerotto there was a band marching toward us. We soon realized it was a small procession with a bride-to-be and her father in a carriage at the end. We headed down to the square to where the wedding events were taking place. Don't tell the bride, but we snuck in a few pictures of the wedding and their photo sessions as well as of the town square.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Next we headed up different gondola and ate lunch at the top then followed trail 4/4A back down to Castlerotto.

 

After returning to Castlerotto we strolled a bit then met up with others for dinner at Toni's. Then guess what, gelato and more pictures through town.
