Monday July 27th. We had a very quiet morning with everyone in their own cabins until lunch. The Trio met in the dining room where Rodney shared the sad news that two of his best freind's sons were struck by lightning and things were not good. He made arrangements to fly home the next morning. With sad hearts we headed out to Oslo after the ship docked around 3pm and wandered around. Later we met up with Stan and Lisa and four of us walked to the Opera House while Theresa kept the benches warm around the Nobel Museum.  Later all of us enjoyed really creamy, thick ice cream then headed back to the ship for burgers. Stan and Rodney tested a route to the train station so Rodney would know where to go at 4am to get to the airport and catch his flight. Lisa and Karen went to the Princess Theater to watch the evening's production then caught sight of a very large moon rising over the water. After enjoying and filming that iconic scene, and trying to figure out where Stan and Rodney were, we ran into them just inside. Good timing! We all went back out to enjoy the full moon together, then headed back to our rooms after a farewell to Rodney.
Oslo
Tuesday July 27th. Stan, Lisa, and Karen met up at 8:30 for a three-hour bike tour of Oslo with the company with a great name, "Viking Biking and Hiking". Oddly enough, three of the four female riders were named Karen! Following our guide’s recommendation, we then toured City Hall to check out the unique decor in each room. On the way back to the ship, we stopped for more of the delicious ice cream we enjoyed yesterday, then returned to the vessel. Later, we met up for dinner with Theresa, who had taken a long nap during the day after staying up most of the night to help Rodney. Following dinner and the evening entertainment featuring singer Dave Golden, we played our favorite card game, Play Nine, on the indoor pool deck.

Wednesday July 28th. A day at sea! We had a lany morning so met for a late lunch, then wandered up to Deck 18 and one of the fancy lounges for a peaceful afternoon. But since it was formal night and people started appearing all fancied up we decided we didn't fit in (we choose to skip the fomalness) so headed out for some ice cream. Later we met up for the evening's show and then a lite late night dinner in the buffet area while making plans for the following day in Gdańsk, Poland.
