After a quick orientation intro to Eger we had time to explore. There was a graduation ceremony in the Minorite Church of Eger. Karen and Rodney met up after doing some shopping and then went to the Cathedral Basilica where there was an ordination going on.

Theresa found a machine that would take your picture and then print it on a postcard of ler. She then met up with Dave and Gail who found a way into the The Eszterházy Károly Catholic University. They climbed stairs to an amazing library, then more stairs to the Panoramic Terrace, more stairs to the scientific equipment, and finally stairs to the Camera Obscura.
For the afternoon, the group rendezvoused and walked over to an elementary school for an introduction to education in Hungary, a tour of the school, and lunch in the cafeteria.

We then rode the bus to a winery for dinner complete with Hungarian music, a singalong of American classics, and dancing for everyone. This included a wine tasting session and tour of the wine cellar filled with barrels and bottles that were stored in the 'rock’.

A 2-hour bus ride then brought us to Budapest!
